The installer file is named setup.exe

Follow this link to download the installer.

When prompted with the following screen, click 'Save'

Once the installer has completely downloaded, locate the installer on your computer and double click it. Follow the instructions in the installer to set up your environment.

When you start up the recorder, you will see the following screen

Follow the prompts in the installer and install the recorder. There will be a few options available during the installation process.

There will be a few options available during the installation process. They are the following:

1. Webmetrics RIA Script Recorder
   This is the recorder itself. This option will install the recorder to the local machine and be accessible from the Start Menu of your machine.


2. .NET 2.0
   The Webmetrics RIA Script Recorder requires the client machine to have the Microsoft .NET 2.0 Framework installed in order to run the script recorder application.
   
   Select this option if you don't have .NET 2.0 installed. If you are unsure whether you have it or not, open Windows Explorer and goto C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework and look for a folder with the name v2.0.xxxx where 'x' is a digit.


3. Ruby & Watir
   For users using Ruby and Watir for the first time, this option is required. If you already have a working install of Ruby and Watir on your machine, skip this option. This option will not overwrite the version you already have.


4. Webmetrics Directives
   This option will install some Webmetrics Libraries. The recorder has certain menu options built in that require this option to be installed in order to correctly play back. If you record in 'Watir Compliant' mode, this option is not required


5. AutoIT v3
   This option is required if you have not installed Ruby and Watir before. Watir itself uses this to perform certain actions such as clicking with the cursor. Scripts will not play back unless this option is installed.
