The script recorder is a tool to help generate a working watir script that can be used with the Webmetrics Rich Internet Application Monitoring. Webmetrics RIA Monitoring utilizes the open source technology Watir to do performance monitoring.

The script recorder allows users to record their actions as they navigate a series of HTML web pages. These actions are translated into valid Watir scripts which are then used in Webmetrics' RIA Monitoring product.

The script recorder is a tool that empowers users to write their own scripts, however, it is not a solution that will be able to record every script a customer might want to record. To be ultimately successful at scripting, some knowledge of Watir is required.

Webmetrics will continue to develop and maintain scripts on behalf of customers who do not wish to do their own scripting. This tool was designed as a means to allow customers more control over their services with Webmetrics.
