Recording a script

Turn on record mode

Actions inside the recorder will not affect a script unless the record button is enabled. To enable record mode, simply click on the red record button



When enabled, the record button will appear depressed


Proceed to first web page

Once record mode is on, enter the URL for the starting web page of the script into the address bar.



Hit 'Enter' on your keyboard or click 'Go'

You will see the web page load in the browser tab directly below the address bar. Additionally, you will see the script text box on the left hand side update with the following text



Change the text 'description' to describe this step. It will be used in our web console as well as reports for Rich Internet Application services to signify the step.

Record User Interaction

Once the web site has loaded, wait until the status bar at the bottom of the script recorder notifies that it is ready to accept user interaction.



Once this appears, the script recorder will be able to record your actions as you navigate the web page.

NOTE:Failure to wait for this message will cause the web browser to move on without recording the action that produced that result.
